Harsh Vardhan

Harsh Vardhan: a leading wildlife expert in India. He is the main organiser of Indian Birding Fair (Jaipur’s Mansagar Lake), and was singularly responsible for saving the Indian Bustard species being hunted through falconry during the late seventies by the Arab Sheikhs. He is also a writer (Bustards In Decline, Ranthambhor Pug-Marks, Birds of Periyar, etc.), photographer and columnist.

He has been to USA, Canada, Britain, Finland, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Hong Kong, Pakistan and Taiwan, to take part in conservation related advocacy. He has lectured at the British Bird Watching Fair (Rutland). Wildlife conservation is his sole occupation. He acts as honorary advisor to VIGT.
